Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain the title cloth rich in cool feeling with the air permeability of a specified level or higher by forming on the surface a heat-releasing layer capable of externally releasing the heat generating from the human body or by additionally forming on the back surface a sunlight-reflective layer. CONSTITUTION:The objective cloth can be obtained by using polyester fibers (or polyamide fibers etc.) produced by spinning after melt blending of a polyester (or polyamide etc.) with such material(s) as to be capable of externally releasing the heat generated from the human body and resistant to temperature rise due to sunlight irradiation (e.g. alumina, aluminum titanate, cordierite, beta-spodumene). Alternatively, the objective cloth can be obtained by imparting (A) a conventional cloth comprised of synthetic fibers such as polyester or polyamide fibers, semisynthetic fibers such as triacetate fibers, or natural fibers with (B) said material(s) by such means as vapor deposition, sputtering or printing a resin containing the material(s) to form a heat-releasing layer and/or sunlight- reflective layer. For the present cloth, the air-permeability is set at >=5cc/cm<2>muc.
