Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for evaluating see-through properties of a curtain without depending on a sensory evaluation, in which the method can evaluate a plurality of curtains under a constant condition and on fixed criteria, and to provide a drawing intelligibly showing see-through properties of one kind of curtain or a plurality of curtains when a consumer selects a curtain so as to be able to understand the characteristics of the curtain(s).SOLUTION: The method for evaluating see-through properties of a curtain includes (1) measuring the luminance of two visual objects that are arranged behind a curtain and have a difference in L values of 15 or more by using a luminance meter from the front of the curtain and (2)evaluating the value obtained by comparing the luminance for the two objects as an index of see-through properties of the curtain.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
