Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable restoration to be performed within a target restoration time.SOLUTION: The file management device can accommodate replaceable storage media for storing index information used in a file system and performs reading and writing of data in the replaceable storage media. An information processing device acquires and retains the index information stored in each replaceable storage medium from the file management device and identifies a file stored in each replaceable storage medium by using the index information. The file management device determines a timing for acquiring a backup of the index information retained by the information processing device on the basis of the target restoration time to a system failure and notifies the information processing device of the timing. The information processing device acquires the backup of the index information into a predetermined replaceable storage medium at the timing notified by using the file management device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
