Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter cloth contraction detection device in a filter press, capable of detecting contraction of a filter cloth and easily adjusting tension of the filter cloth.SOLUTION: In the filter press for freely elevating and lowering a filter cloth 5, a driving load L when the filter cloth 5 is elevated and lowered is measured, an alarm is issued when being equal to or more than a reference load L0, and normal filter cloth contraction is discriminated when the filter cloth 5 is traveling. Since the need of having a worker periodically measure a filter cloth contraction amount by manual work is eliminated and the tension of a driving chain and the exchange of the filter cloth are detected before the performance and function of the filter press are affected, maintenance is facilitated. Also, from the moving time T of the filter cloth 5, the appropriate exchange time of the filter cloth 5 is predicted.
