To provide a reusable filter for an electric discharge machine.
The filter for an electric discharge machine is a columnar internal pressure type filter both ends of which are clogged by end plates one of which has a liquid intake port at the center. A filter paper layer is arranged at the outer circumferential side of the cylinder, a reinforcing layer is arranged at the inner circumferential side of the cylinder in a concentric manner with a proper space between the filter paper layer, and a vacant part surrounded by the reinforcing layer and connected to the outside via the liquid intake port is provided at the axial center side of the cylinder. Ventilating holes are provided at proper positions of the reinforcing layer so as to make sludge separated from the filter paper pass through the reinforcing layer on the air flow when disposing of the internal air of the used and dried filter through the liquid intake port.
