Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To capture a small garbage and a large garbage simultaneously without sacrificing a filtering rate by combining a sheetlike filter with numerous water permeable apertures with a water permeable filter layer between filaments extending in parallel across each of the water permeable apertures. SOLUTION: The filter 1 applicable to a drain hole or the like in a home kitchen sink comprises lapped sheets with side edge parts 17 joined with each other using a line 3 extending vertically. In addition, the filter 1 has a top aperture 4 and a pair of side walls 6 positioned opposite to each other and at the same time, has a reinforcing sheet 16 joined to the outer faces of both side edge parts 17. Besides, each of the sheets is formed of a composite sheet with an inner layer 7 made of a water permeable sheet 5 and an outer layer 9 made of numerous filaments 8 extending in parallel with each other in the vertical direction of the filter 1. Thus the filter 1 captures a large garbage by enlarging the fiber gaps and through holes 10 of the inner layer 7 and also captures a small garbage by increasing the number of filaments 8 in the outer layer 9. and bringing the filaments 8 into contact tightly with each other.
