To provide a filter provided with a relief valve on a case.
The filter 1 is composed of a filter head 2, a closed end cylindrical case 3 with an opened top and a filter element 14. A drain member 25 is arranged so as to protrude upward from the bottom face in the case 3, and an lower opening part 18a of the filter element 14 and a fitting part 25 of the drain member 25 are fitted with each other. In addition, a guiding hole 27 passing through the drain member 25 in the horizontal direction and a draining hole 26 passing through the drain member 25 in the vertical direction so as to communicate the outer peripheral space 21 with the inner peripheral space 19 of the drain member 25. The top end opening part of the drain hole 26 opening at the top end part (the top end face of the opening part 25) of the drain member 25 is closed by the valve 33 of the relief valve 30. The relief valve 30 is constituted so as to open and close the valve 33 in accordance with the pressure of a fluid introduced into the outer peripheral space 21.
