Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter medium for an air filter which has both an antibacterial property and a mold inhibition property that are superior in safety, in particular high mold suppression performance, and which further has high collection efficiency, high water repellency, and high strength that are necessary for a filter medium for an air filter.SOLUTION: Provided are a filter medium for an air filter, and a manufacturing method of the same. In the filter medium containing filter medium fibers to which a mold inhibition agent and a synthetic resin binder are added: an ionic polarity of the entire filter medium fiber has anion polarity, whereas the mold inhibition agent has cationic polarity; and the synthetic resin binder has cationic polarity.SELECTED DRAWING: None
