Abstract:
To provide a fitting which does not cause a finger to be caught in an opening/closing operation, even if a butting stile of one sliding sashes has a shape to cover an outside of a butting stile of the other sliding sash in an overwhelming manner.SOLUTION: A fitting 1 having a first sliding sash 5 and a second sliding sash 4 which move along a common rail 221 and configured so that butting stiles 53, 43 of the first sliding sash 5 and the second sliding sash 4 are butted for the closure, in which the butting stile 53 of the first sliding sash 5 projects into the indoor side in the depth direction and an overwhelmed portion 533 which is placed to cover an indoor side depth surface 43b of the butting stile 43 of the second sliding sash 4 when the first sliding sash 5 and the second sliding sash 4 are closed, and a cushioning member 9 is disposed, at a position at which the overwhelmed portion 533 of the butting stile 53 of the first sliding sash 5 is in opposition to an indoor side depth surface 43b of the butting stile 43 of the second sliding sash 4, so as to be exposed at a door-top surface 533a of the butting stile 53 of the first sliding sash 5 .SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
