Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable replenishment of a lubricant as needed, prevent a rising of torque or falling of oscillatability arising from a shortage of the lubricant, and can prevent an adverse effect due to the excessive replenishment of the lubricant.SOLUTION: A fixation device comprises: an endless belt-like fixation member 1; a heat source 2; a pressure member 3; a nip formation member 6 that forms a nip part N; a reinforcement member 7 that supports the nip formation member 6 against force to be applied to the nip formation member 6 from the pressure member 3; an oscillation member 80 that is dispose between the fixation member 1 and the nip formation member 6; and a lubricant holding member 5 that holds a lubricant to be coated on an inner peripheral face of the fixation member 1, in which non-fixation toner on a recording medium passing through the nip part N is fixed by heating the non-fixation toner thereon. The nip formation part 6 has a liquid chamber 81 inside that serves as a flow path of the lubricant to be supplied to the oscillation member 80, and further comprises: oscillatability detection means 86 that detects an oscillation state between the fixation member 1 and the oscillation member 80; and lubricant replenishment means that supplies the lubricant to the liquid chamber 81.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
