To provide a flash generating device capable of generating a flash of light that has a various color temperature.SOLUTION: A flash generating device 400 includes: a first light source 414a; a second light source 414b; and a drive part 445. The first light source 414a generates a flash of light with a first color temperature. The second light source 414b generates a flash of light with a second color temperature that is different from the first color temperature. The drive part 445 drives the first light source 414a and the second light source 414b to generate a synthetic flash of light of a third color temperature adjusted between the first color temperature and the second color temperature.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 16
