Abstract:
Provided is an oscillation reduction device which achieves an effect for reducing oscillation to a floating body reliably by a simple structure, and which suppresses an increase in the resistance at the time of towing the floating body and does not interfere with berthing. The oscillation reduction device comprises: a plate portion (20) that is disposed at a corner portion (6) between a side face (4) and a bottom face (3) of a floating body (1) so as to leave a space (7) therebetween, and used in a projected state toward the outside of the side face (4) of the floating body (1); and a supporting portion (30A) that supports the plate portion (20). An upward surface (22a) of the plate portion (20) gathers streams of water flowing into the side face (4) from the outside of the side face (4) due to the wash of waves and guides the streams of water to the space (7). A downward surface (22b) of the plate portion (20) blocks streams of water flowing outward from the bottom face (3) due to the backwash of waves. The supporting portion (30A) has a movable mechanism (32A) for moving the plate portion (20) between a use position and a stored position where the plate portion (20) is stored in a recess (3A) formed in the vicinity of the corner portion (6) of the floating body (1).
