PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas treatment method and a device therefor capable of reducing LCC (life cycle cost) by reducing the use amount of a chemical agent such as hydrated lime required for exhaust gas treatment while satisfying a strict discharge reference value for acidic gas discharge.SOLUTION: There is provided an exhaust gas treatment method including removing an acidic gas in the exhaust gas by adding a chemical agent for exhaust gas treatment comprising fine particles to the exhaust gas discharged from a waste incineration facility, and then collecting fly ash in the exhaust gas by passing the exhaust gas through a bag filter 3. The fly ash collected by the bag filter 3 is guided to a surface polishing machine 4 to be surface-polished, and the fly ash after surface polishing is guided to a classifying apparatus 5 to be classified into the fly ash having a prescribed particle size and that having the other size. The fly ash of the prescribed particle size is returned into the exhaust gas at the upstream side of the bag filter 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
