Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluid damper device and an apparatus with a damper capable of disposing a self-supporting retention mechanism in a space having a narrow width in an axial direction.SOLUTION: A fluid damper device 10 has a rotating shaft 40 to which an oscillation member such as a toilet seat is connected at an output end side, a valve element 50 supported at an outer peripheral side of the rotating shaft 40, and a housing 15 defining a damper chamber with the rotating shaft 40. A self-supporting retention mechanism 80 for retaining self-supporting attitude of the oscillation member is disposed between a trunk portion 150 of the housing 15 and the rotating shaft 40. The self-supporting retention mechanism 80 has a first ball 86 accommodated in a first accommodation portion 81 opened at an outer peripheral face of the rotating shaft 40, a second ball 87 accommodated in a second accommodation portion 82 opened at an inner peripheral face 68 of a cover 60 used in the housing 15, and an elastic member 88 for elastically pressing the first ball 86 inside of the first accommodation portion 81 toward the inner peripheral face 68 of the cover 60.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
