To provide a water closet capable of efficiently supplying washing water at a high speed and a large flow rate to the rear area of a bowl part where dirt is easy to adhere, and of cleaning the entire inner part of the bowl part without leaving any portion unclean while improving the capability of cleaning the rear area of the bowl part.SOLUTION: The water closet 1 comprises: a first rim water discharge port 20 which is provided on a rim part 8 on one side in the longitudinal direction of a bowl part 6, performs first rim water discharge W1 forward, and forms a swirling flow f1 along the rim part; and a second rim water discharge port 22 which is provided on a rim part on the other side in the longitudinal direction of the bowl part and performs second rim water discharge W2. The first rim water discharge port is provided nearer to the front side than the front edge T of a pot part 12; and the second rim water discharge port has a swirl maintenance part D which maintains a swirl of washing water W3 after the swirling flow of the first rim water discharge discharged from the first rim water discharge port is made to interfere with a water flow f2 of the second rim water discharge discharged from the second rim water discharge port and makes the washing water capable of swirling along the wall surface 18a of the rim part up to the first rim water discharge port.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7B
