Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate acquisition of synchronism for frequencies in a wide range from a DC signal to the upper limit of an operating frequency of a synchronism acquisition circuit.
SOLUTION: A frequency conversion circuit 2 compares an output signal frequency fv from a signal generator 1 with a first reference signal frequency f1 and outputs, as a converted frequency 7, a DC signal when fv≤f1, &verbar fv-f1&verbar when f1<fv<-2f1 and fv/2 when fv≥2f1. A frequency comparison circuit 4 compares the converted frequency 7 from the frequency conversion circuit 2 with a second reference signal frequency f2 and outputs a frequency difference voltage V corresponding to a difference between the two frequencies. The signal generator 1 varies the output signal frequency fv in accordance with the frequency difference voltage V. This process is repeated and synchronism is acquired at the output signal frequency fv=f1+f2.
