Abstract:
PURPOSE: To temporarily stop a specific carrier on which wheelchair utilizing passengers ride by diverging the specific carrier to be stopped for the specific passengers to get on or off to a branch side rail from a carrier column traveled continuously and circulatively, stopping it at a platform position for passenger handling, and again returning it into the carrier column.
CONSTITUTION: When a specific carrier 10A reaches a point J, a drive control means 35 is automatically or manually operated to stop the operation of a branch side line shift device 33, the rotation of shift wheels 34, 34... is stopped, and the specific carrier 10A is stopped at the position corresponding to a platform 40 near the point J. The platform 40 is formed at nearly the same level height as that of the floor face 13 of the specific carrier 10A, little gap 14 is formed between them, the specific carrier 10A is stopped, there is no relative speed difference between the specific carrier 10A and the platform 40, thus aged people and children and wheelchair utilizing passengers can safely get on or off.
