Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for inspecting foreign substance of a polymer, capable of detecting amber, and a method for manufacturing a power cable.SOLUTION: The method includes the steps of: preparing an absorption spectrum of a terahertz wave when the terahertz wave is emitted to a standard sample containing a predetermined polymer; emitting a terahertz wave to an inspection target containing the same polymer as that of the standard sample and measuring an absorption spectrum of the terahertz wave; comparing the respective absorption spectrums of the standard sample and the inspection target and determining the presence of foreign substance in the inspection target if the absorption spectrum of the inspection target is different from that of the standard sample.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
