PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology capable of improving detection quantum efficiency of a radiation detection assembly.SOLUTION: In a radiation detection assembly including a sensor panel having a pixel array containing a plurality of photoelectric conversion elements, and a scintillator layer in which a plurality of columnar crystals for converting a radiation into light are arranged so as to cover the whole area of the pixel array, each of the plurality of columnar crystals is tilted in the same direction from a normal line of the sensor panel, and each of the plurality of columnar crystals is thickened gradually toward the sensor panel excluding the end part of each columnar crystal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
