Abstract:
In this frame structure for a straddle-type vehicle (1) that is configured as a hollow frame, a left inner plate member (17a) and left outer plate member (17b) of a left frame (17) make contact with each other near a head pipe (6), and a left inner plate member front edge (17af) of the left inner plate member (17a) and a left outer plate member front edge (17bf) of the left outer plate member (17b) are fixed to the head pipe (6) by welding. Furthermore, a right inner plate member (27a) and right outer plate member (27b) of a right frame (27) make contact with each other near the head pipe (6), and a right inner plate member front edge (27af) of the right inner plate member (27a) and a right outer plate member front edge (27bf) of the right outer plate member (27b) are fixed to the head pipe (6) by welding. In addition, near the head pipe (6), the left and right outer plate members (17b, 27b) are provided with left and right extending portions (17bt, 27bt) that extend in a vehicle width inward direction and make contact with each other, said left and right extending portions (17bt, 27bt) being fixed to each other by welding.
