Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a frequency adjustment method for making frequency temperature characteristics unlikely to be deteriorated due to a frequency adjustment of a piezoelectric vibrator comprising a first vibration part 11a which is vibrated by coupling of a width longitudinal mode and a length longitudinal mode and of which the planar shape is rectangular, a second vibration part 11b which is connected to one end of the first vibration part and of which the planar shape is rectangular, and a third vibration part which is connected to the other end of the first vibration part 11a and of which the planar shape is rectangular.SOLUTION: A second vibration part 11b is defined as a first region 11ba, a second region 11bb and a third region 11bc from the side of the first vibration part in a vibration direction of the width longitudinal mode. A third vibration part 11c is defined as a first region 11ca, a second region 11cb and a third region 11cc from the side of the first vibration part 11a. The frequency adjustment is performed by reducing masses of the first regions 11ba and 11ca and the third regions 11bc and 11cc of the second vibration part 11b and the third vibration part 11c or adding masses to these regions.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
