Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To create circumstances where water is easily moved in a fuel cell power stack, and to optimize formation of a three-phase interface and an increase thereof.SOLUTION: A control method for a fuel cell power generation system includes: a step of applying a DC voltage to a fuel cell stack 1 by a DC power generation device 3 and performing hydrogen pumping for transmitting hydrogen through an electrolyte membrane 1c and moving the hydrogen from one of a fuel electrode 1a and an oxidant electrode 1b to the other thereof; a voltage maintaining step of supplying a fuel gas to the fuel electrode 1a, supplying an oxidant gas to the oxidant electrode 1b, starting power generation of the fuel cell stack 1 and maintaining an open circuit voltage after the hydrogen pumping is performed; a load application step of applying an electrical load to the fuel cell stack 1 in which the open circuit voltage is maintained by an electronic load device 2; and an inert gas processing step of stopping application of the electrical load, switching gas supplied to the oxidant electrode 1b from the oxidant gas to an inert gas, supplying the inert gas thereto and decreasing the voltage.
