Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely form an air-fuel mixture layer and a heat insulating gas layer in a combustion chamber in a direct-injection engine.SOLUTION: A fuel injection valve 6 is constituted so that the more a lift amount is, the larger an effective opening area of a nozzle hole is. A fuel injection control portion implements a first injection for injecting a fuel with a prescribed first lift amount for a prescribed first injection period, and then implements a second injection for injecting the fuel with a second lift amount less than the first lift amount and for a second injection time longer than the first injection period, when an operating state of an engine body (engine 1) is in a prescribed low rotation region, and implements the second injection, and then implements the first injection when the operating state of the engine is in a high rotation region where a rotating speed is higher than that in the low rotation region.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
