Abstract:
[Problem] To effectively utilize, as fuel for cement baking, a crushed substance which is included in automotive shredder residue, and which is difficult to combust in the atmosphere, and to effectively utilize all automotive shredder residue as fuel for cement baking, without adversely affecting clinker quality. [Solution] A device (1) for turning automotive shredder residue into fuel is provided with: a crushing device (10) for crushing automotive shredder residue; a separation device (20) which separates a waste substance (C) crushed by the crushing device, into a crushed substance (an intermediate particle group (MP)) which has a particle size within a prescribed range, and which is difficult to combust in the atmosphere, and other crushed substances (a large-diameter particle group (LP) and a small-diameter particle group (SP)); and a supply device for supplying, to a cement baking device, the crushed substance which has been separated by the separation device, and which is difficult to combust in the atmosphere. A screening apparatus having an aperture diameter of X mm is employed as the separation device, thereby enabling the crushed substance which is difficult to combust in the atmosphere, and which has been separated by the screening apparatus, to be with the range 1/3∙X mm to 4/5∙X mm inclusive.
