Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel reforming method and a fuel reforming device which correct a fuel reforming amount before reforming fuel.SOLUTION: When improving thermal efficiency of an internal combustion engine by reforming at least a portion of fuel into hydrogen through a chemical reaction on a reforming catalyst in a fuel reformer and burning gas containing the hydrogen in an internal combustion engine with intake air mixed therewith, a fuel reforming device: detects respective state amounts of the gas before and after an injector which injects the fuel into the reforming catalyst; estimates a fuel injection amount of the injector on the basis of a change in the state amounts of the gas before and after the injector; and corrects the fuel injection amount of the injector on the basis of the estimated fuel injection amount.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
