PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine abnormality in fuel injection that is injected from a fuel injection valve.SOLUTION: At a fuel spray abnormality determination device for cylinder injection type diesel engine including a fuel injection valve and a cylinder pressure sensor 2, it is judged that spray of fuel injected from a fuel injection valve has abnormality when a cylinder pressure level Fc of primary resonance frequency band that is a cylinder pressure level at a resonance frequency band depending on a diameter of a combustion chamber is lower than a first reference value Fct and a cylinder pressure level Fb at a secondary resonance frequency band that is a cylinder pressure level at a resonance frequency band depending on a bore diameter is higher than a second reference value Fb or when a cylinder pressure level Fc at the primary resonance frequency band is higher than the first reference value Fct and the cylinder pressure level Fb at the secondary resonance band is lower than the secondary reference value Fbt.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
