Abstract:
To provide a fuel tank system capable of sufficiently reducing fuel vapor to be discharged to the atmosphere.SOLUTION: The fuel tank system includes: a fuel tank; a canister for adsorbing fuel vapor from the fuel tank; a vapor passage causing the fuel tank to communicate with the canister; an atmosphere passage causing the canister to communicate with the atmosphere; a circulation passage causing the canister to communicate with the atmosphere passage; a fuel vapor treatment unit arranged in the circulation passage for applying oxidative decomposition to the fuel vapor; and a switching valve for switching between a first state to set the circulation passage and the atmosphere passage into a non-communicating state and set the atmosphere passage and the atmosphere into a communicating state and a second state to set the circulation passage and the atmosphere passage into a communicating state and set the atmosphere passage and the atmosphere into a non-communicating state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
