Abstract:
Disclosed is a piece of furniture (1) comprising at least one drawer and/or a door, on the front cover (3) of which a handle element (4) is provided that is fitted with at least one illuminant (6). Said at least one illuminant (6), which can be switched by means of a controller (21, 25, 26), shines outward in the area of the handle element (4) when the drawer or door is closed while an interior (5) of the drawer or an interior adjoining the door is illuminated with the aid of at least one illuminant (7) in the open position of the drawer such that the interior is clearly visible even in poor lighting conditions.
