Abstract:
To calibrate a sensitivity error of a temperature-sensitive resistance element due to aging in a gas sensor of the type that heats the temperature-sensitive resistance element during measurement.SOLUTION: A gas sensor 1 comprises: a sensor unit S1 including a thermistor Rd1 and a heater resistor MH1 to heat the thermistor; and a signal processing circuit 20 for calculating concentration of gas to be detected based on a detection voltage Vg output from the sensor unit S1. The signal processing circuit 20 calibrates sensitivity information used to calculate the concentration of the gas to be detected based on a level of the detection voltage Vg obtained when the thermistor Rd1 is heated to a first temperature and a level of the detection voltage Vg obtained when the thermistor Rd1 is heated to a second temperature. This makes it possible to calculate a more accurate gas concentration even when the sensitivity of the thermistor Rd1 changes over time.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
