Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas separation method which can separate a specified gas component from a mixed gas by using a pressure swing adsorption method at high density and a high collection rate.SOLUTION: There are performed adsorption processes (A) in a plurality of adsorption towers in which mixed-gas passages are connected in series. Processes performed in the plurality of adsorption towers are performed in a cycle in which each of the processes is sequentially transited to an adsorption process (a) at the upstream side from an adsorption process (a) at the downstream side in a mixed-gas flow direction among the adsorption processes (A), sequentially transited to a purge process (B) and a desorption process (C) via the adsorption process (a) at the most upstream side, and after that, transited to the adsorption process (a) at the most downstream side in the mixed-gas flow direction among the adsorption processes (A). Furthermore, gas gdischarged from the adsorption tower in the purge process (B) is introduced to the adsorption tower x2 in which the second adsorption process (a) from the most upstream side in the mixed-gas flow direction is performed among the adsorption towers in which the adsorption processes (A) are performed.
