Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cut-back of a blade or vane in a gas turbine which reduces the weight through trailing ribs and cut-back blocks formed at a trailing edge, and improves heat transfer performance while retarding crack growth.SOLUTION: A cut-back of a blade or vane in a gas turbine comprises: a first sidewall; a plurality of trailing ribs extending from the first sidewall, and arranged and spaced along an end of the first sidewall; a second sidewall separated from the first sidewall, having a longer tail than the first sidewall and being in contact with the plurality of trailing ribs; and one or more cut-back blocks extending between two trailing ribs along the inner surface of the second sidewall.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
