Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas-turbine engine capable of being operated to produce noises of a low sensibility for a human auditory sense.SOLUTION: A gas-turbine engine 20 comprises: a fan 42; and a turbine section 28 having a first turbine rotor 46. The rotor 46 drives a compressor rotor 44. A gear reduction part 48 lowers the velocity of the fan 42 for an input speed from the fan drive turbine rotor 46. The rotor 44 has several compressor blades in at least one of plural rows. These blades time-operates at least partially at a revolution speed. The number of the blades and the revolution speed of at least one row are made such that the following formula (Blade Number×Revolution Speed)/(60 seconds/1 minute)≥5500 HZ applies to at least one row of the rotor 44, and the revolution speed is a rotation number per minute. Also disclosed is a method for designing a compressor module and a gas turbine engine.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
