Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gateway device that appropriately relays messages so that messages necessary for an E-ECU among messages transmitted by a C-ECU are efficiently transmitted in an on-vehicle network system including a first network, such as a CAN, and a second network, such as an Ethernet (R).SOLUTION: A gateway 100 includes: a reception unit 111a for sequentially receiving a first type frame from a bus of a first network; a determination unit 141 for determining whether, regarding the first type frame received by the reception unit 111a, data in the first type frame should be transmitted to a second network; and a transmission unit 122 for transmitting, to the second network, a second type frame including data in each of a plurality of first type frames about which the determination unit 141 has determined that they should be transmitted to the second network.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
