Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a load acting on a bearing of a gear is large and oil may leak.SOLUTION: A gear pump comprises: a drive gear 2 and a driven gear 3 meshing with each other in an internal space 10 of a casing 6 and individually abutting against the inner peripheral face of the internal space 10 for defining the internal space 10 into a high pressure region and a low pressure region; and side plates 20a and 20b slidably contacting the end faces of the gears 2 and 3 and having a shaft hole 21, through which the shafts 4a, 4b, 5a and 5b of the drive gear 2 and the driven gear 3 have passed. The side plates 20a and 20b include: a first notch part 30 extending in the whole area of the thickness direction of the side plates 20a and 20b at their longitudinal end portions; and a second notch part 35 extending to the lower pressure side than the first notch part 30 and formed in the portions of the thickness direction of the side plates 20a and 20b.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
