Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass manufacturing apparatus capable of controlling the temperature of the lower end face of a casing in high accuracy without being influenced by the ambient temperature.SOLUTION: A glass manufacturing apparatus comprising cooling means 30 for cooling a casing 12 to become the outline of a molding device of molten glass, wherein the cooling means 30 comprises: a cooling chamber 4 disposed as an evacuated closed chamber on the outside of the casing 12; injection means 5 for injecting a cooling fluid to the outer circumference of the casing 12 in the cooling chamber 4; and suction means 6 for sucking the inside of the cooling chamber 4 thereby to gasify and cool the casing 12 with the evaporation latent heat of the cooling fluid.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
