Abstract:
To provide a glass yarn package capable of reducing generation of fuzz and yarn breakage in a warping step in an outer layer part of the glass yarn package in manufacturing thin glass cloth using the glass yarn package in which a narrowed glass yarn with small grain size is wound around a bobbin.SOLUTION: The glass yarn package having a cylindrical bobbin and a winding part in which glass yarn is wound around the bobbin, includes a taper part which the winding part forms a truncated-cone contour. A height Lf of the winding part is 200 mm or less, and a ratio (Lf/D) of the height Lf of the winding part to a maximum outer diameter D of the winding part is 1.5 or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
