To provide a golden ceramic sintered compact which has a golden color tone, can provide a sense of high quality, aesthetic satisfaction and mental calmness and has little difference in color tones, and to provide a decorative member using the golden ceramic sintered compact.

The golden ceramic sintered compact contains titanium nitride as a principal component, and contains nickel or cobalt, and chromium and niobium, and further 0.4 to 0.9 mass% of carbon. The golden ceramic sintered compact includes 130 to 3,050 pieces of recessed parts each having an average diameter of 1.2 to 7.6 μm in an area with a square of 1.0×0.8 cm in the surface of the compact. Thus, color diffusion reflection in the recessed part of the surface of the compact serving as a decorative face is made suitable, and therefore the compact has color tone closer to 24 carats. Further a difference in color tones can be made little, it provides a sense of high quality, aesthetic satisfaction and mental calmness.
