Abstract:
To provide a wood golf club head capable of increasing a carry by disposing a repulsive net composed of a spring wire, at an inner face of a face part for hitting a ball, and capable of suppressing the weight of the club head.SOLUTION: The golf club head includes a face part 2 for hitting a ball 5, and the face part 2 has an elastic plate 3 formed of a metal plate, brought into contact with an inner face thereof. The elastic plate 3 includes a support portion 3b fixed to the inside of a head body 1, and an action portion 3a coming into contact with the inner face of the face part 2. Reinforcement beads BD are continuously formed in the longitudinal direction from the action portion 3a to the support portion 3b. The action portion 3a of the elastic plate 3 is configured to receive elastic deformation of the face part 2 when the ball 5 is hit onto the face part 2, and to repel it by elasticity, along with the face part 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
