PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent light from a solid light source from leaking from an opened lid part.SOLUTION: A video display device 104 provided with a lid part 114 comprises: a solid light source 124 that is used for projecting a video and provided inside the video display device 104; an atmospheric pressure sensor 134 that measures the atmospheric pressure inside the video display device 104; a fan part 184 that provides ventilation between the inside and outside of the video display device 104; and a control part 144 that controls turn-on of the solid light source 124 on the basis of a change in atmospheric pressure measured by the atmospheric pressure sensor 134 when the fan part 184 is operated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
