Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide branched polyorganosiloxanes and curable silicone compositions containing the same that provide advantages in curing properties in combination with the physical and mechanical properties desired for a wide variety of applications.SOLUTION: A branched polyorganosiloxane has, on average, at least two radical-curable groups per molecule and a curable silicone composition comprises (I) the branched polyorganosiloxane and (II) a radical initiator. Cured products are prepared therefrom. Devices contain the branched polyorganosiloxane, composition, or cured product. Methods of making the branched polyorganosiloxane and composition and methods of using and uses of the materials and devices are also provided.SELECTED DRAWING: None
