Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a head-up display device that can stably display, when a vehicle is travelling, a virtual image which is stuck to a road surface and is visually perceived. A head-up display device (101) according to the present invention includes a display means for projecting display light (50) onto a reflection/transmission member (300) provided in a vehicle (200), and generating and displaying a virtual image by the display light (50) superimposed on an actual scene transmitting the reflection/transmission member (300) and reflected on the reflection/transmission member (300). The head-up display device has an image display unit and an optical system including an optical member, wherein the optical characteristics of the optical system, the arrangement of the optical member and a display surface of the image display unit, or the shape of the display surface of the image display unit are adjusted such that an upper portion of a virtual image display surface (400) on which the virtual image is displayed has a recessed and curved shape.
