PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting system.SOLUTION: A lighting system includes a light source 2 for emitting light, a converging optical element for converting light emitted from the light source 2 into convergent light to be emitted, a phosphor element 53a emitting fluorescence light with the incidence of the convergent light as excitation light, and a projection lens 6 projecting the fluorescence light. A light converging position of the convergent light is positioned between the converging optical element and the projection lens 6. The lighting system further includes a wavelength selection element 7 which is disposed between the converging optical element and the phosphor element 53a, selects a wavelength of the light passing therethrough, and reflects light of the wavelengths other than the selected wavelength. The wavelength selection element 7 includes a plurality of first regions transmitting light of the different wavelengths. A position of the convergent light reaching the phosphor element 53a is moved by movement of the light converging position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
