Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular headlight device which includes left and right headlights each having two high-beam units, and in which the shapes of light distribution patterns can be changed with the high degree of freedom.SOLUTION: On the front side of a light emitting element 22 of a high-beam unit HU1(HU1), a movable shade 40L (40R) is arranged and used for changing illumination regions of first and second light distribution patterns HP1 and HP2 into light shielding regions SBA1 and SBA2 between the first and second light distribution patterns HP1 and HP2 while adjusting a change of the regions into the light shielding regions SBA1 and SBA2 in the horizontal direction. Thus, the shapes of the first and second light distribution patterns HP1 and HP2 are accurately changed so that a forward vehicle etc. is properly located between both of the HP1 and HP2.
