Abstract:
To provide a waterproof heater.SOLUTION: A heater 1 comprises an arc tube 2, a multilayer film, a metal foil 12, a lead wire 20, an external lead-in wire 8, a sealing part 2a, a base 4, and a filler 19. The arc tube has a heating element provided therein. The multilayer film is formed on an outer peripheral face of the arc tube. The metal foil is electrically connected to the heating element. The lead wire is electrically connected to the metal foil. The external lead-in wire has a connection part electrically connected to the lead wire. Part of the lead wire and the metal foil are embedded in the sealing part which is formed on the arc tube so as to seal the inside of the arc tube. The sealing part has a lead-out part from which the lead wire is led out of the arc tube. The base has: an opening into which the sealing part is inserted; a housing part for housing the sealing part; an expanded part which is obtained by outwardly expanding an inner wall of the housing part facing the sealing part; and a through-hole which allows the external lead-in wire to be inserted from the inside of the housing part to the outside. The filler is loaded into a portion between the sealing part and the housing part as well as a portion between the external lead-in wire and the through-hole so as to close the opening and the through-hole of the base.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
