Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a discharge capacity control mechanism of a high pressure fuel supply pump.SOLUTION: A high pressure fuel supply pump includes: a cylinder; a plunger reciprocating in the cylinder to change the volume in the cylinder; a valve element provided downstream side of a through hole to open/close the through hole connecting inside of the cylinder to a low-pressure fuel passage; a first spring for energizing the valve element in the valve closing direction; an engagement member that is installed on the low-pressure fuel passage side to operate the valve element in the release position, resisting to force of the first spring; a second spring for applying force resisting to the force of the first spring to the engagement member; and an electromagnetic driving device for releasing the engagement member from the engagement state with the valve element by resisting to the force of the second spring.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 15
