PURPOSE: To keep the rigidity of an elastic part high even when load is small by providing a hole relaxing the concentration of stress on the elastic part of a head slider supporting member.

CONSTITUTION: The elastic part 15 is provided on the end part of a beam 13 for load supporting the head slider 22 and the beam 13 is supported by a carriage arm 17 through the elastic part 15 and a carriage fixing part 14. Then, the hole part 23 having a shape relaxing the concentration of stress is provided in the elastic part 15. Thus, it is unnecessitated that the length of a spring part in the elastic part 15 is lengthened and the width and the thickness is shortened even when the weight is small and the rigidity of the elastic part 15 is enhanced. Also, it is enabled that the strength against frictional force and viscous fluid force generated between the headslider and the storage medium is satisfied.
