Abstract:
To provide a honeycomb structure capable of preventing part of honeycomb segments from falling off on a downstream side.SOLUTION: A honeycomb structure includes a honeycomb segment conjugate 10 in which a plurality of prismatic honeycomb segments 4 are joined by a joint layer 14. In the honeycomb segment conjugate 10, one side of a first honeycomb segment 4a and one side of a second honeycomb segment 4b are joined to each other, interposing a joint layer 14, in a state arranged to face each other. The first honeycomb segment 4a has a first protrusion 7 and a second protrusion 8 on the one side of the first honeycomb segment 4a, the second honeycomb segment 4b has a third protrusion 9 on the one side of the second honeycomb segment 4b, and at least part of the third protrusion 9 is arranged to overlap the first protrusion 7 and the second protrusion 8, in a projected view of the axial direction of the honeycomb segment conjugate 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
