Abstract:
The present invention is provided with: a moving vise jaw that shifts in accordance with the width of a workpiece, and that clamps the workpiece W between the moving vice jaw itself and a fixed vise jaw; a band-saw blade guide that rotatably retains a band-saw blade at an elevation angle at which a cutting area where a workpiece is cut forms a downward slope heading from the fixed vise-jaw side to the moving vise-jaw side; a cutting head that contains the band-saw blade guide, and that cuts a workpiece while descending along a vertically extending guidepost; and a workpiece-support member that supports the workpiece from underneath, and that, following on the moving vise jaw, moves in accordance with the width of the workpiece. The band-saw blade guide has: a moving saw-blade guide that, following on the moving vise jaw, retains the cutting area in a position in accordance with the width of a workpiece; and a fixed saw-blade guide that is fixed in a prescribed position.
