Abstract:
PURPOSE: To release from a mold without causing damages to a ceiling wall and a side wall of an air bag cover.
CONSTITUTION: A mold 20 comprises a first split mold 21 for molding a top face side of a ceiling wall 2 and a second split mold 22 for molding the rear face side of the ceiling wall 2 and a side wall 4. The second split mold 22 comprises an extrusion block 24 for extruding a molded air bag cover 1 from the second split mold 22 in parallel with the mold release direction at the time of mold release of the first and second split molds 21 and 22. The extrusion block 24 is arranged at a position for molding the inner peripheral face of the side wall 4 at the rear face of the ceiling wall 2. The extrusion block 24 comprises a side face mold face 24a for molding the inner peripheral face of the side wall 4, an end face mold face 24b for molding the end face of the side wall 4, and a rear face mold face 24c for molding the rear face of the ceiling wall 2.
