Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hybrid vehicle and a control method of the same, which can shorten time when separating a travel motor output shaft from an engine output shaft on the basis of information showing a control state of the hybrid vehicle.SOLUTION: A hybrid vehicle is equipped with a hybrid ECU 32 which executes control of, when separating a travel motor output shaft from an engine output shaft, calculating a target reduction time Δt based on information D showing a control state of the HEV 1 and a target reduction rate ΔQ based on the target reduction time Δt, reducing travel motor torque of a travel motor at the target reduction rate ΔQ to a predetermined separation set value or lower within the target reduction time Δt, and after passage of the target reduction time Δt, disengaging a dog clutch to separate the travel motor output shaft from the engine output shaft.
